Well, here’s the thing. Menopause doesn’t ask for permission — it just walks in and starts rearranging the furniture. Your body’s chemistry, which has been humming along in a steady rhythm for decades, suddenly decides to improvise. For some women, the shift feels like a gentle glide. For others, it’s more of a cliff-edge fall. Either way, things inside your body change.

Your hormones stop following the neat monthly pattern they’ve kept for years. Instead, they start yo-yoing up and down, changing their minds every five minutes, and dragging other hormones along for the ride. It’s chaotic, unpredictable, and sometimes downright funny in a “laugh or cry” kind of way.

Because the truth is, we humans are basically walking bags of complicated chemicals — and menopause is the moment those chemicals decide to throw a little party of their own.
